Will be gutted to lose Dominic Solanke - he came of age for us last season. He is a really important player and does a lot of work off the ball. I am not impressed with the potential replacement [Aston Villa's] Cameron Archer.... he does not fit the bill.

Salford City v Port Vale (Sat, 15:00 BST)
Salford City head coach Karl Robinson has questioned the timing of the Community Shield.
The traditional curtain-raiser to the start of the Premier League season next week, sees Manchester City and Manchester United meet at Wembley in a 15:00 BST kick-off.
That is the same time as 11 fixtures on the opening day of the new League Two season, including Salford's home game with Port Vale.
"Who decided to put the Community Shield on at three o'clock on a Saturday when the EFL is kicking off?", Robinson asked on BBC Radio Manchester.
"The EFL starts. It's the bread and butter of our game. It is the oldest football organisation of leagues going and we decide when we need all the money in the world to kick off the Community Shield at three o'clock.
"That baffles me."

The worst atmospheres at matches are games that kick off at 12.30 or earlier and now all travelling fans have to suffer more of these as well as getting up at the crack of dawn.

Regarding the new coverage, due to work, I rarely get to see my team play in the flesh anymore, however the previous EFL ifollow app meant I could watch all the games back afterwards which was great. I will miss that feature, thanks to Sky.

When someone said "we need more numbers at Chelsea", they meant points rather than the squad. We used to brag about our number of trophies, but now it’s the squad size!

OK, we have talked about a potential domino effect in the summer transfer window, of Premier League strikers moving clubs, should Dominic Solanke complete his proposed move from Bournemouth to Tottenham.
So we thought we would have a look back through some of the other possible deals for number nines mooted in BBC Sport's gossip column over the summer.
Let's start with Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku...

Bournemouth hold interest in Villa's Archerpublished at 11:24

BBC Sport football news reporterIt has been mentioned that Dominic Solanke's impending transfer to Tottenham from Bournemouth could set the dominoes falling for other moves.
The Cherries hold an interest in Aston Villa's Cameron Archer, who returned to Villa Park this summer after a season at Sheffield United.
They had no plans to add to their forward line while Solanke was at the club but his expected departure drastically changes the landscape at the Vitality Stadium.
Archer re-joined Villa in June after Sheffield United were relegated, which triggered the clause for his return after he joined the Blades for £18m last summer. The striker scored four goals in 21 Premier League starts for United.
Villa's forward line remains thin, though, with little central back up for Ollie Watkins.
Jhon Duran remains at the club - despite summer interest from West Ham, who signed Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund this week.
Archer's immediate future is likely to be tied to whether Duran remains in Birmingham as the club will not leave themselves short up front so close to the start of the season.

I am massively underwhelmed by Solanke's potential signing. While I think he'd probably fit the system quite well, I fear last season was a one-off for him in terms of goalscoring. Maybe he'll surprise us. Maybe a bit of competition will ignite something in the Brazilian pigeon [Richarlison]. At least Solanke ticks the homegrown box I guess. As optimistic as I get as a Spurs fan.

I’d very happily have Solanke at Arsenal so I think it’s a great move for Spurs, and I’m quite jealous.Hopefully this move can be the trigger for Arsenal to get a new striker who is more clinical than Jesus and Nketiah.

As far as Ivan Toney or Calvert Lewin potentially replacing Solanke at Bournemouth, no offence intended, but surely that would be a side-step or step-down in their career?

Re Danny 09:58 I think Tottenham fans have got to remember Solanke scored more goals than any of their players did in the league last season and that was for a “smaller” club. Give him opportunities and he will thrive at Tottenham
