How does an UPS Access Point work? ›

Choose your delivery location as a UPS Access Point™ at the time of ordering your goods. UPS handles delivery from supplier to elected UPS Access Point. Provide proof of identity to collect your parcel. Notification sent and your parcel awaits to be collected at a time convenient to you.

Merchants can ship directly to UPS Access Point® lockers, and customers can redirect a package to any locker when they like. To do this, enter the address of a UPS Access Point® as your delivery address when you create your shipping label.

UPS Access Point locations are local businesses that offer a convenient alternative option to receive or drop off ready-to-ship parcels, including returns.

When UPS delivers to a locker, it means that the package has been delivered to a secure locker that is accessible to the recipient with a unique code or key. This is a convenient option for those who may not be available to receive a package in person or who want to avoid the risk of package theft.

Parcel lockers work in the following manner: The mail carrier or the delivery personnel will unlock the locker and place the package in it. Smart parcel lockers have a keypad, QR code, or barcode scanner. The delivery person must enter the code or scan the package to access the locker.

How do I open a locker to access my packages? We'll send you an email or text notification with an access code when your package has arrived.

If you're sending a parcel to an InPost Locker or Shop then it should arrive within 3 working days. If you're sending a parcel to a home address then it should arrive within 4 working days.

If you're unavailable when UPS attempts delivery at your address, UPS may deliver your package to a UPS Access Point^® location near your home, where your package will be held for you to pick up for 7 calendar days.

Yes. During checkout, you can designate a UPS Access Point pickup person. Ensure that the name appears exactly as it does on their government-issued ID. They will need that ID and the tracking number of your order to pick up your package.

While we'll notify you (on shipment notifications or tracking status updates) if you need a code to pick up your package, your shipper will provide the code directly to you. The package release code is a 4-6 digit numerical code that is provided by the shipper and is different from the tracking number.
